Firmware Inspection and update

To check the firmware version

• Setup,>View System,>View Status, and select the USB Links tab. The software version is the 7th number in the list of parameters.

The complete list of parameters is: 

<link drops><time link has been up><tx packets><rx packets><tx errors><tx retries><sw version><hw version><buildnumber>

To update the firmware:

• First, install the latest Beta Software (stable firmware is most often published in Beta software. Some GeNetix devices may have their latest firmware files available on the product pages.)
• Go to Setup>View System>View Status, Hardware - Console components needing an upgrade will be reported there
• Using the arrow keys, move the cursor to a component that needs an upgrade, then select Latest Firmware from the top soft button.
