QuickQ Recovery Mode

Recovery should only be used if advised by the ChamSys Support team and the console is powering on, but QuickQ is not starting. Note the use of Recovery mode may erase user show files during the process.

QuickQ Consoles and the QuickQ Rack feature a Recovery Mode allowing for the operating system to be re-installed. The Recovery button is located on the rear of the consoles.

  1. Shutdown
  2. Unplug any external hardwired monitor
  3. Hold down the recovery button (with a pen)
  4. Turn on (plug in the power or if already plugged in, then use the power button)  - it may take as long as 20 seconds, keep holding the recovery button.
  5. In the Recovery menu choose 'Factory reset'
  6. Choose 'Reset Settings - keep show data', not the 'DELETE ALL DATA' option!
  7. Choose Shutdown
  8. Startup normally, no recovery button.
  9. Reload the old show file.

When powered on it's the Wi-Fi button, if held during boot its the recovery button
