QuickQ Recovery Mode
Recovery should only be used if advised by the ChamSys Support team and the console is powering on, but QuickQ is not starting. Note that using Recovery mode MAY erase user show files during the process if the wrong menu is selected.
QuickQ Consoles and the QuickQ Rack feature a Recovery Mode, allowing for the operating system to be reinstalled. The Recovery button is located on the rear of the consoles.
- Shutdown
- Unplug any external hardwired monitor
- Hold down the recovery button (with a pen)
- Turn on (plug in the power, or, if already plugged in, use the power button) - WHILE HOLDING THE RECOVERY BUTTON for 20 SECONDS.
- In the Recovery menu, choose 'Factory reset' (Recovery menu is a grey screen)
- Choose 'Reset Settings - keep show data', not the 'DELETE ALL DATA' option!
- Choose Shutdown
- Start up normally, don't use the recovery button.
- Reload the old show file.
