OLD -Mac OSX Driver Install

This method should no longer be necessary, but it remains in the software for compatibility reasons.


Mac OSX Driver Install

  • Connect Hardware

  • Open Magic Q PC
  • Choose the "Tools" menu on the top toolbar

  • Select "Fix Mac Drivers"

  • You will be prompted for your password, and Magic Q will update to the current drivers for your Magic Q hardware
  • Once Driver installation is done quit and re-open Magic Q

  • In Magic Q Click "Setup"

  • Then Choose "View Settings"

  • Click the "Ports" Tab

  • Under "Magic Q Wings and Interfaces" Select "FTDI+VCP Auto DMX

  • To confirm Connection of hardware to MQPC goto “Setup>View system>View Status>USB Links
  •  Connected Hardware will show as a Text string under USB 1-9 in USB Link Screen
