Use an FX to create position palettes
- Record an FX to a playback and then clear out
- Make the Fader for that playback control the speed of the FX
- take that fader to 0 to stop the fixtures mid FX
- once they are stopped where you like them select those fixtures
- open the programmer
- hold the shift key and select Active from the soft buttons up top.
- Active will pull all the parameters for your currently selected fixtures back into the programmer.
- then record your new Position palette
