Pro 2014 console thinks it is a Pro-E Boots with wrong OS

The console actually does some checks on its hardware when booting to check its actually a Pro2014 console, one of the things it looks for is the Midi interface on the console.

If it doesn't see the Midi interface it will 'appear' as a Pro-E console as you've seen. We have seen this occur on the Pro2014 processors occasionally when the USB does not initialize on startup until after we do the check for the Midi interface on startup of MagicQ.

If you see this occur the best fix is to shut down the console (Setup > Quit), connect any USB thumb drive to one of the Neutrik USB ports (any USB drive is fine - no special files needed on the drive). Then leave the USB drive connected and start up the console.

Having a USB drive connected on boot initializes the USB hub and ensures the Midi interface is seen before MagicQ starts - you can then remove the USB drive. This may have to be performed on every boot, but in our experience, once it is performed once all should be in order.

A hardware modification has been developed for Pro 2014 consoles and Upgrades shipped after Dec 2015. This modification is not recommended for the previous console by ChamSys UK at this time. Please contact us if you need further details.
